Prior to the Face 2 Face Archery Tournaments we will publish our newsletters to keep you up to date. These newsletters will be sent to everyone registered for the tournament or the open selection rounds and to those who registered to receive our newsletter.
Please forward this newsletter to anyone you think might be interested in the F2F Archery Tournament. This might be an elite archer, archers, archery shops, manufactures, your national association or just your friends. DATE AND PLACE OF THE AMSTERDAM 2006 FACE 2 FACE TOURNAMENT
The third edition of the Amsterdam Face 2 Face tournament will be held from 8 - 10 December 2006 at the venue of the 2004 and 2005 edition of the tournament: Sporthallen Zuid in Amsterdam. Route descriptions can be found on the F2F website. The entree is free for visitors and parking is free in the weekend on the venue area. PROGRAM

At this moment (October 2006) 21 different ensigns indicate the nationalities of the participants registered so far for the 2006 F2F. Also 21 different pro-teams have entered their pro-staff archers making F2F2006 the biggest in its history.
The category Recurve Men has reached its maximum capacity; new entries are put in a queue. There are still a limited number of places available for the other categories. 24 November 2006 is the final date for new entries; entries are accepted only after the organizers have received the entry fee. US Archery Member Jamie Van Natta, Shooting Hoyt and Easton arrows, shot the highest score in Women’s Compound history on the 2nd of August 2006 at the US Nationals: 1402 out of a possible 1440! The previous World Record dated from 2003 and was set at that time by Van Natta’s teammate Mary Zorn at 1401 points. Jamie Van Natta winner of F2F2005 will again participate in the Face 2 Face 2006 tournament.
The team of Ukraine will participate in their strongest formation, with athletes from Lviv and Charkov. Italy’s delegation will make the recurve divisions tough for the Dutch Wietse van Alten and Femke Boonen to get their 3rd time in a row 1st places. PRIZE MONEY
A total of around 10.000 euro has been reserved for the winners of the F2F2006 tournament CAT Foundation, the organization committee of the F2F tournaments
- 600.00 euro for all 1st places in the different divisions

- 1st place Compound Men: 5000.00 dollar
- 2nd place Compound Men: 2000.00 dollar
- 3rd place Compound Men: 1000.00 dollar
- Total of 8000.00 dollar

The category Recurve Men reached the maximum capacity. There are a very limited number of places available in the other categories. The OSR participants shoot an F2F based tournament in order to win one of four “F2F Wildcards” in each category. TOURNAMENT EQUIPMENT
The target butts will be of world standard. This month an archery event has been held in Apia, Samoa, where Domino target butts have been successfully tested in an extreme tropical climate. F2F will use the Olympic Danage Domino butts. After the F2F competition a number of target butts will be for sale at a reduced price. Last year some Dutch archery clubs bought the Danage Domino targets and are very pleased with their lightweight, transportability and their low wear in normal club use. Great targets for each club. For details on the Danage Domino Targets and prices see our website. Bjorn Bengtson Tough Faces will be used for Face 2 Face Archery Tournament 2006 and the next two Face 2 Face Archery Tournaments. Safety netting will be provided by Handboogsport van Dorst. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
Like in the previous editions of the Amsterdam F2F tournament, the **** Novotel of the Accor group in Amsterdam offers accommodation at a reduced rate for participants of the F2F. Novotel has a good reputation among our participants. All the rooms that are available for the 2006 F2F tournament participants are recently renovated in a new and modern style. The hotel is close to the tournament facility and very well reachable by car; there is a good railway connection from Schiphol Airport and from Amsterdam Central Station. The 2006 version of the Archery Trade Show during the F2F will be the place where new products will be launched to the European market. Mathews in cooperation with 3D Archery Atelier will show their new bows (Ignition, Conquest4 and maybe more…). The Italian Fiber Bow company will be presenting their 5.99 riser. They will give visitors of the Archery Trade Show the exclusive possibility to shoot their Carbon riser 5.99.
Many other vendors and manufactures will be present. From traditional archery to modern bows and from electronics to jewelry and more. GENESIS PROJECT
The venue used for the F2F will also be used to give archery lessons to disabled youth. We know from earlier years that Archery is the Sport for All. The reward of the participants of these clinics is very high. The easy use Genesis bows are the best ones to use. Their short length, constant draw weight and quality are a great help in boosting the self esteem of the young ones shooting their arrows. WIN A FREE GENESIS BOW FOR YOUR ARCHERY CLUB
Sunday December 10 will be the day of the finals, but also the day you can win a free Genesis bow for your archery club!
During the Sunday each club in the Netherlands can send a team of 4 archers (e.g. club members) to shoot 15 arrows per person with the Genesis bows at 18 meters. The top 3 clubs with the highest total score will win a Free Genesis bow to be used at their archery club. Entry to this competition is free, you only need to register the persons and club name at the Mathews booth at the Archery Trade Show.
After using the Genesis bows you know why the Face 2 Face organization prefers this bow for their demonstration and clinic activities!
