ARCHERY TOURNAMENT FACE2FACE IN AMSTERDAM STARTED TO DAY
To day the archery tournament Face 2 Face started in Amsterdam. Despite the bad whether in the Low Countries, with storm, snow and slippery roads most of the 191 participants reached the venue in time. One archer got stuck in the USA and his bow missed a flight connection in the United States of America and one archer from Germany arrived with only a few minutes left from the start of her first selection round. Her first arrow missed the target as she had no time for practise, but she managed to qualify with high scores for the second round.

LIVE WEBCAMS DURING F2F
The live transmission of the Face 2 Face tournament was on the Internet to day. There were many visits counted from all over the world and the organizers are happy with the successful experiment. In the archery venue the visitors could follow on big screens. This footage is used for the transmission via our website. www.face2face-archery.org and then webcam.

FIRST QUALIFYING (ELIMINATION) ROUNDS ON FRIDAY
On Friday 25 November 2005 the following number of archers competed.

Men Compound 13 x 6 = 78 13 x 2 + 22 = 48
Women Compound 6 x 6 = 36 6 x 2 + 12 = 24
Men Recurve 8 x 6 = 48 8 x 2 + 8 = 24
Women Recurve 6 x 6 = 36 6 x 2 + 12 = 24

For the Men Compound this was pre elimination round. To-morrow they shoot another elimination round to bring back the number of competitors to 24. In the second elimination round to be shot on Saturday the number of competitors in each category will be reduced to 12 (= two poules of six).

INTERNATIONAL BOW MARKET STARTED
On the second floor of the sport accommodation the international bow market started. Many visitors are expected during the weekend. Hoyt, Mathews, Merlin, Van Dorst Handboogsport, EuropeArchery, Bowtech, 3D Archery Atelier will have booths. Interviews with vendors can be found on the website. 3 top archer have been interviewed and can be watched online at the website.
